Paulstown Castle, County Kilkenny, in April 1986. Probably early an 19th century remodelling and likely to be standing on the footprint of and incorporating an earlier Butler tower house. Inhabited until 1973.
Limestone dressed tower. Four floors high. Turret of uncertain date was used as a dovecot.
