Clonamicklon Castle, County Tipperary, in July 1986.
A large late sixteenth/early seventeenth century fortified house and high walled bawn. A substantial site built by a branch of the Butler family, with a mural gatehouse and two large flanker turrets. Remains of many interesting features including a stone spiral stairs.
