Clonmines: Black Castle or FitzHenry’s Castle, County Wexford, in November 1986.
A complex medieval site, established by William Marshal, it developed into a town which was later deserted when the port silted up.
Remains consist of the tower house, along with a friary, gatehouse, church, fortified house and a bawn. All sited on a private farm.
